Industrial products: New deadline for conformity marking

While it was set for July 31, 2019, the deadline for affixing the conformity mark on imported industrial products has been extended to December 31st. This new deadline will allow the largest number of operators to comply with the legislation in force. Thus, products imported from 1 January 2020 must bear the marking “Cم”.

Products imported before that date and not bearing the mark may, however, be authorized to cross the border posts, provided that they are not marketed until after the marking has been affixed, the Ministry of Industry specifies.

For the moment, the products concerned are low-voltage electrical equipment, toys and electromagnetic compatibility of equipment. These measures fall within the scope of the application of Law 24-09 relating to the safety of products and services.
