Inwi Datacenter obtains ISO 27001 certification

Inwi has obtained ISO 27001 information systems security certification for its hosting services in its Datacenter in Rabat – Technopolis. This certification consolidates inwi’s efforts to provide Morocco with cutting-edge technological infrastructure and participate in building a sovereign cloud.

ISO 27001 certification is based on an evaluation carried out with the operator’s “inwi Business” services, provided from its Rabat Technopolis Datacenter and which relate to the design, deployment, operation, maintenance and after-sales services for hosting services and cloud solutions.

ISO 27001 is an international security standard that specifies the requirements related to the establishment and management of an Information Security Management System (ISMS). ISO 27001 certification was therefore based on a relevant risk assessment and the implementation of appropriate control measures to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information for the operator and its customers.

“This Certification is, first of all, a realization of our commitment to support the digital transformation of Moroccan companies. It is also further proof of the operational excellence of inwi to support Moroccan companies through hosting services and solutions to international standards in terms of availability, security and connectivity”, said Karim Guessous, Commercial Director large accounts at inwi.

Designed and certified according to the TIER III standard, the inwi Datacenter in Rabat Technopolis, inaugurated in January 2019, is a cutting-edge infrastructure, produced according to the most advanced international standards, which confirms inwi’s leadership in terms of Cloud and digital transformation enterprises. This Datacenter offers an area of 1000 m² with the possibility of extending an additional 1000 m², thus bringing the total area of Inwi Datacenters to 4000 m² throughout the country, the largest area dedicated to Datacenters in Morocco.
