The Japanese equipment manufacturer Jtekt has just inaugurated its plant in Tangier, the first of the African continent.

With an investment of 20 million euros, or about 220 million dirhams, it will supply the Renault and PSA factories with management elements. A large portion of its production will be reserved for export to the PSA sites in Vigo, Spain (its historical partner) and Portugal.

The plant covers 11,300 m² and has a production capacity of 300,000 electrical steering systems and 700,000 manual steering columns.
