Juventus: Maurizio Sarri the new Ronaldo coach

The appointment of Italian Maurizio Sarri as coach of Juventus will be announced this Friday after reaching a financial agreement with his current club Chelsea, reported Italian media.

Juve will pay Chelsea 3.5 million euros, which the English club will use to bring on board former player Frank Lampard, current coach of second division club Derby County, media said.

The 60-year-old technician will then be free to sign a contract for three seasons with Juve, who announced in May the departure of his coach Massimiliano Allegri after five years.

Recent winner of the Europa League with Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri coached Naples from 2015 to 2018 and twice led his troops to second place in the Italian league, behind the invincible Juventus.
