Juventus officials thanked the Moroccan international Mehdi Benatia, the team’s defender after giving the group during his time in the colors of the Calcio champion, confirming that the leader of the “Atlas Lions” officially moved to Qatar’s Al-Dahil during the current winter transfer.
Team’s management announced the transfer of the Moroccan defender Benatia to the Qatari team after the captain refused to continue with his Italian club due to the marginalization of coach Massimiliano Allegri and not enough minutes to play.
Juventus wrote in his official statement: “Mehdi thank you for everything that you have given to the team, Benatia and Juventus are separated, and the Moroccan player will complete his course with the Qatari team Al-Dahil” to end the career of the player with Juve, who was brought in the summer of 2016 from the “Bavarian giant” Bayern Munich.
The Italian team added that the Qatari forward will pay 8 million euros divided into two installments until October 2019 plus two million euros will be paid according to the terms of the contract between them to become the value of the deal 10 million euros after adding variables.
The Juventus statement put an end to the Moroccan series of news and reports that linked its future to several European clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Fulham, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke and Marseille.
