The price of fuel at the pump will drop significantly from Monday, March 16, due to the crisis caused by the coronavirus epidemic, and especially because of the sharp fall in oil prices on international markets.
In Morocco, the price of fuel at the pump will drop by almost one dirham per liter, according to a source close to the association of petroleum product distributors.
Thus, ordinary diesel will decrease by one dirham per liter; premium diesel will drop the same; unleaded petrol 95 will also decrease by 1.07 dirham per liter. As for unleaded petrol 98, it will drop by more than one dirham.
These reductions represent a reduction in prices which ranges from 50 to 53.5 dirhams, on a full tank of fifty liters of fuel, representing a boon for the budget of motorists.
In addition, the fall in oil prices will also benefit the state budget, since the energy bill weighs heavily on the balance of payments.
