Fayçal Fajr is back in Spain. The Moroccan international has signed a two-year contract with Getafe, playing in Liga, from SM Caen.
Fajr had asked to leave the French club after his relegation to D2. He has played 40 games including 39 as a starter, and has scored one goal and three assists last season.
The Atlas Lion, 30, had left Getafe in August 2018 for Caen (French Ligue 1), a club in which he had already evolved between 2011 and 2014.
Recall that after the elimination of Atlas Lions in AfCON against Benin, Fajr said: “It’s very difficult, I can not find the words. That’s what happens when you do not respect your opponents. We must go forward.”
And to add: “We still do not realize what happened. We need some time to digest that. I do not understand what happened.”
