Marrakesh will have a nice gift at the end of the year. In the middle of the Jemâa El Fna square, Maître Gims will give a free concert on 28 December at the Ocher City, on the initiative of his friend and artistic director, Youssef Aarab.
The “Stars in the place” event, organized by NB 2 events, had already gathered thousands of spectators in 2017. The Congolese rapper had performed with other artists including Douzi who had made his first game and Eko who was responsible for animating the evening. This year too, the public could expect the presence of other artists.
“It’s very important for me that this concert is free and that everyone has a good time, and these are actions that I would like to repeat, whether it’s here in Morocco or elsewhere”, he said last year adding that “the king has facilitated access to this mythical place”.
Maître Gims, his real name Gandhi Djuna, has never hidden his attachment to Morocco and Marrakesh in particular, where he acquired a luxurious villa.
