Manchester Citywants to recruit Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi to its squad this summer.
European clubs are fighting to enlist the Moroccan side back. After Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Chelsea and Arsenal, it’s Manchester City’s turn to set their sights on 21-year-old Achraf Hakimi. The English club will face stiff competition from the loan club Borussia Dortmund.
Manchester City will have to spend as much as £ 50 million to crush the competition. The Moroccan international’s loan to Borussia Dortmund (2 years, with no purchase option) expires this summer. The defender’s contract provides for a release clause exceeding 50 million euros.
Achraf’s performances on Bundesliga lawns undoubtedly whet the appetite of European clubs. There are 10 goals this season with Borussia Dortmund (5 in the league and as many in the Champions League) and 10 assists.
