Passenger traffic at the Marrakech-Menara international airport rose by 30.58% last July compared to the same month last year.
According to the latest data published by the National Office of Airports (ONDA), Marrakech-Menara airport welcomed a total of 490,630 passengers last month against 375,740 passengers in July 2018.
With this new performance, this airport infrastructure accounted for 25.86% of global commercial air traffic last July, occupying the second place behind Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca (40.89%).
Regarding aircraft movements during the month of July, the share of Marrakech-Menara airport was 17.65% of the 20,015 aircraft movements recorded at the national level, behind the Mohammed V International Airport of Casablanca (45.69%).
Regarding the first five routes at the national level last July, the line Marrakesh-Paris Orly was third on the podium of the top 5 air services, with 45.189 passengers, while the Marrakech-Madrid line occupied the 5th rank with 37.636 travelers, said the National Office of Airports.
The Kingdom’s airports recorded last July, a commercial traffic volume of 2.394.773 passengers against 2.096. 225 passengers received in July 2018, a sharp increase of 14.24% compared to the same period of 2018.
