Marrakesh: 12% increase in overnight stays in October

The number of overnight stays in the classified hotels of Marrakesh recorded last October an increase of 12% compared to the same period of last year. According to data provided by the Regional Council of Tourism (CRT), the number of nights in classified hotels of the city ocher rises during the month of October to 826.326 nights compared to 737.586 recorded during the same period of the year former.

In tourist-sending markets, Spain recorded the highest growth (+118%), followed by Italy (+68%), the United States (+37%) and the Netherlands (+11% ) while the Arab countries recorded the largest decline (-24%) followed by Belgium (-14%) and Germany (-10%). The average length of stay during the same period was 3 nights, as much as in October of last year.
