January 2020, the 33th edition of the International Congress for School Efficiency and Improvement (ICSEI).
The choice of Marrakesh to organize this event took place during the closing ceremony, in the Norwegian city of Stavanger, the 32nd edition, which took place in a festive atmosphere, said the Center in a statement.
The event, which will be held for the first time in an Arab and African country, is considered one of the world’s largest forums for education and training, according to the Center, on works from this 32nd edition.
Initiated by the Moroccan Center for Civic Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in coordination with the Marrakesh-Safi region, the 33rd Congress Effectiveness and improvement of the international school offers the opportunity to bring together a large number of experts, researchers and education specialists from all five continents to discuss themes relating to education systems and ways in which they can be improved both theoretically and practically in the future.
The event, which will be attended by some 800 specialists from 85 countries, also offers the opportunity to discover world-class experiences in the area of education and learning, according to the Center. The Congress will take place at a time when Morocco implements its strategic vision (2015-2030) of the education system.
In addition, the Center indicated that the Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research sent a message to the participants of the 32nd Congress, in which he emphasized the role played by Morocco in establishing a qualitative dialogue between Arab and African countries on the one hand, and between other countries, in an other hand.
A similar message was also sent to the participants by the President of the Council of the Marrakesh-Safi region, in which he expressed his support for holding this event in the ocher-colored city, said the same source.
On this occasion, documentary films were screened to highlight the strategic geographical position of Morocco and the development policies and reforms of the kingdom during the last decades.
The audience was also able to follow a documentary about Marrakesh, a city full of history and one of the world’s most tourist destinations.
