The phenomenon of Spanish music Rosalía, the undisputed star of reggaeton J Balvin, the rapper with unique flow Lartiste, as well as the most prolific DJ of our century David Guetta, will perform on June 21st and 22nd on the stage of the OLM Souissi as part of the 18th Mawazine World Rhythms Festival for a pulsating opening weekend, announced the organizers.
As every year, the opening weekend reserves a spectacular musical agenda that will delight, as usual, a diversity of audiences by offering them shows and collaborations of exception. For the first evening of June 21, the public will be at the rendezvous on the stage of the OLM Souissi with the great artists Rosalía and J Balvin, underlines the Association Maroc-Cultures in a statement.
Flamenco, Rosalía is considered the Spanish icon of the mixture of genres. At only 25 years old and after a first collaboration with the great figure of the trap C. Tangana, the young singer remains attached to her flamenco roots while adding more urban sounds. His titles “Malamente” and “Pienso en mira” embody this desire to transcend the stylistic and geographical borders of Spain, while keeping a deeply Latin imprint. She has received five Grammy Latinos nominations, the statement said.
In the second part of the opening concert, it is the turn of the Colombian singer and prodigy of Latin music and mix of styles, J Balvin who began his career in Colombia. After numerous collaborations with international stars, this artist continues to diversify the styles while maintaining a musicality strongly stamped with the rhythms of the reggaeton and the Latin music. After conquering Europe and America, J Balvin now attacks the African continent.
As for the evening of June 22, it will be co-hosted by the French-Moroccan rapper Lartiste and the world DJ David Guetta. His plural style is between rap, RnB, raï and dancehall, which allows Lartiste to offer an ever more original and innovative music. He has 3 albums and many featurings often rated “best hits of the summer”.
Fans of electro will be at the rendezvous in the second part of this evening with the superstar of electronic music David Guetta. The favorite DJ of the jet set collaborated with the greatest figures of current music such as Joaquim Garraud, Kelly Rolland, and more recently Nicki Minaj.
With more than 15 years of career and having won numerous prizes at the NRJ Music Awards and realized the official Euro 2016 football anthem with Zara Larsson, the David Guetta’s 7th album brings together new featurings that are as rhythmic as ever, especially with Sia, Justin Bieber, J Balvin or Bebe Rexha.
Under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Mawazine Festival is ranked second among the biggest musical events on the planet.
