The group Megarama Morocco has just expanded its network in the Kingdom after the opening on Monday of Megarama Rabat, a multiplex of 12 rooms made for an investment of MAD 70 million.
Sixth film complex of the French group founded by Jean Pierre Lemoine after Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez and Tangier, Megarama Morocco is equipped with the latest generation in laser projectors 4K laser for 2D and 3D, and in Dolby 7.1 sound.
The twelve rooms have a capacity of 1,500 people per session, the group said in a statement, noting that “spectators will be able to watch the screening of the latest national and international blockbusters on club or premium armchairs”.
Located in the Arribat Center shopping center, Megarama Rabat has created more than 35 jobs. It includes a space dedicated to businesses and individuals to organize private screenings.
Megarama is positioned as a key player in the film sector in Morocco. In 2002, its president Jean-Pierre Lemoine inaugurated the group’s first multiplex in Casablanca, followed in 2006 by its second multiplex in Marrakech. The group also launched a cinema complex in Fez in 2013, then in Tangier this year.
