Mercure Industrie launches its new factory

Mercure Industrie, a Moroccan specialist in hygiene products and solutions, inaugurated a new plant in Casablanca on Thursday, increasing its production capacity by 12 to 15,000 tons annually.

Inaugurated in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and Digital Economy Moulay Hafid Elalamy and the President of the General Confederation of Enterprises in Morocco (CGEM) Salaheddine Mezouar, this manufacturing plant as well as a storage and logistics platform with a total area of ​​8,000 m² mobilized an investment of 65 million dirhams, increasing the company’s workforce from 80 to 100 people over the next five years.

Elalamy has welcomed the growth momentum of Mercure Industrie since its creation in 1992, noting the importance of supporting the development of Moroccan SMEs and supporting their competitiveness.

This expansion will give Mercure Industrie a new strategic dimension, with its capacity 12 times greater, allowing it to support the growth experienced by the tourism, health and agribusiness sectors in Morocco.
