In the digital age and the acceleration of information and banking exchanges, secure and control the cash management of a company in real time becomes an imperative. New banking exchange protocols such as EBICS have recently appeared. With single access for all business transactions and the use of electronic certificates, this protocol ensures the confidentiality of information, the identification of stakeholders and the integrity of the files exchanged; a real revolution reviewed at this round table organized by the software and cloud solutions editor.

For Nawal Senhaji, Director of Cash Management, Payment and Corporate Cards of the BMCI BNP Paribas Group: “The new EBICS protocol presents real opportunities in relation to the ETEBAC channel, which is heavily used today in the Moroccan market and is based on technology that has become completely new obsolete. EBICS supports end-to-end dematerialization by offering customers traceability of their operations, instantaneous information and a high level of security of their data exchanges with their banking partners”.

For his part, Khalid Yousfi, Acting Director of the Digital Postal Center at Poste Maroc, explained the operation of the electronic signature and the positioning of Poste Maroc as a provider of electronic certification service approved by the State. “Barid ESign”, an indispensable link in digital trust, is based on reliable technology that makes electronic banking exchanges equal in value to paper.

Moroccan companies are therefore called upon to migrate to new solutions. José Teixeira, Product Marketing Manager Cash Management at Sage, highlighted “the productivity gains that companies can get”. Security of the exchange channel between banks and companies, pooling of banking connectivities, automation of a certain number of operations and business processes or reducing the risk of errors are now possible. “Sage offers innovative, comprehensive, modular and scalable solutions,” he said.

This round table was an opportunity for Sage to confirm its willingness to support Moroccan companies in the digital transformation and provide them with the tools they need to take the digital turn in an optimal way.
