We know now the date of the draw for the Mohammed VI Cup Arab Champion Clubs. It will take place Saturday, July 27 in Rabat, announced the UAFA.
Three Moroccan clubs will participate in this edition of the Cup, namely Wydad, Raja and the Olympic Safi Club.
Here is the list of clubs that will be adventure:
Ittihad Jeddah and Al Shabab (Saudi Arabia), Al Arabi, Al Kuwait and Al Salmia (Kuwait), Al Wasl and Al Jazira (United Arab Emirates), Al Dhafar and Al Nasr (Oman), Ittihad Alexandria and Al Ismaily (Egypt), Al Moharrek (Bahrain), El Nejma el Aahd (Lebanon), Al Hilal and El Merrikh (Sudan), Al Jaiech (Syria), Al Chabab (Jordan), Constantin Sports Club and USMA (Algeria), Al Ahly Tripoli (Libya), EST and ESS (Tunisia), Nouadhibou Football Club (Mauritania), Nadi Al-Shorta and the Air Forces (Iraq) and Hilal Al Qods (Palestine).
The first edition of the competition was won by Etoile du Sahel, who beat Al Hilal of Sudan in the final (2-1).
Note also that former president of the Arab Football Union Turki Al-Sheikh had announced, after meeting King Mohammed VI, that the next edition of the Arab Club Cup will bear his name.
