More than 8 million people received their first dose in Morocco

72,151 people received their second dose of the vaccine and 178,394 new people were vaccinated for the first time in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall number of people who received both doses to 4,947,483, the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.

In addition, 310 new cases of coronavirus infection and 276 recoveries have been recorded in the past 24 hours in Morocco.

The new report brings to 517,423 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported last March, and to 505,668 that of fully recovered people, a cure rate of 97.7%, said the ministry in its daily bulletin on the Covid-19 situation.

The total number of deaths rose to 9,129, with 3 new deaths recorded in 24 hours, for a case fatality rate of 1.8%. The number of tests carried out is, for its part, 8,847 tests with a positivity rate of 3.50%.

The number of critical cases increased in 24 hours from 165 to 173 today, including 5 under intubation.

Note that as of today, 8,011,014 people have already received the vaccine in Morocco and 4,947,483 people have already received their second dose.
