More than 9 million Moroccans have already received a dose of vaccine

59390 people received their second dose of vaccine and 110980 new people were vaccinated for the first time in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall number of people who received both doses to 5840597, the Ministry of Health said on Friday.

In addition, 346 new cases of coronavirus infection and 360 recoveries have been recorded in the past 24 hours in Morocco.

The new assessment brings to 520769 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported last March, and to 508570 that of fully recovered people, a cure rate of 97.7%, said the ministry in its daily bulletin on the Covid-19 situation.

The total number of deaths rose to 9169, with 4 new deaths recorded in 24 hours, for a case fatality rate of 1.8%. The number of tests performed is 9891 tests with a positivity rate of 3.49%.

The number of critical cases increased in 24 hours from 204 to 208 today, including 6 under intubation.

Note that as of today, 9072565 people have already received the vaccine in Morocco and 5840597 people have already received their second dose.
