Morocco is now a popular destination for tourists from all over the world. Speaking at the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Club Med group, Tourism Minister Nadia Fettah listed what the kingdom expects from such an agreement.
This partnership is between, Club Med Group, the Ministry of Tourism, the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and the Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering (SMIT). During the signing ceremony of this agreement, the Minister of Tourism, emphasized the potentials available to Morocco. For her, the tourist investments that benefit the kingdom are a logical consequence.
Continuing her speech, she therefore bet that the partnership to be ratified will enable the extent of this potential to be realized in the coming years. She also affirmed that the signing of the memorandum with Club Med consolidates the historical link between this group and Morocco. She recalled that the relationship with Club Med dates back to 1960, with the establishment of the first vacation spot in the north of the country.
Club Med CEO Henri Giscard d’Estaing, meanwhile, reflected on the strong collaboration that exists between the kingdom and his group. He is committed to supporting Morocco in its “remarkable” tourism development. The Club Med group is showing its determination to relaunch quality family tourism in Marrakech through the reopening of Club Med de la Palmeraie. He is also committed to supporting the population of the ocher city and tourism stakeholders who are suffering because of the health crisis.
“The Club Med group will create a new quality family destination to serve Morocco’s international development. Thus, the combination of Essaouira and Marrakech will make it possible to welcome a clientele from far away, especially Chinese clients,” said the CEO of this French tourist group.
