Morocco authorizes use of AstraZeneca vaccine

The Minister of Health, Khaled Ait Taleb, on Wednesday January 6, 2021 signed the temporary authorization for the emergency use of the Covidshield vaccine manufactured by AstraZeneca.

In an official document released today, the Ministry of Health urgently authorizes the use of AstraZeneca’s vaccine for a period of twelve months.

Manufactured in India, the AstraZeneca vaccine consists of two separate doses of 0.5 ml each, to be injected preferably into the deltoid muscle. The second dose should be given between 4 and 12 weeks after the first dose.
