Morocco becomes a member of Smart Africa

Morocco joins the SMART AFRICA alliance. The formalization of this membership took place, Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in Rabat, under the presidency of Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and the Green and Digital Economy in the presence of Lacina Koné, CEO of SMART AFRICA.

Created in 2014, this alliance of 30 members, including Morocco, aims to increase the competitiveness of Africa through new information technologies, in the knowledge economy and in the global economy. Note also that the ceremony of formalization of this membership took place at a meeting organized by the Federation of Telecommunications Information Technologies and Offshoring (APEBI). A meeting which was also dedicated to the restitution of the recommendations made from a reflection work conducted by APEBI under the theme “Digital at the heart of Morocco’s development model”.
