Morocco expands vaccination to people over 50

The Ministry of Health has just announced in a press release that the vaccination campaign is extended to people aged between 50 and 55 years.

The ministry asks those concerned to make an appointment by sending an SMS to 1717 or by accessing the portal www.liqahcorona.ma.

The move comes just days after vaccination was extended to people aged 55 to 60 and the pace of dose administration increased after vaccine shipments resumed. As a reminder, 1 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine was recently received in two batches. Further deliveries scheduled for this May are imminent.

As of May 7, more than 5.4 million people have received the 1st dose of the anti-Covid vaccine and 4.3 million people are fully vaccinated.
