The 28th international “Arabian Travel Market” fair is being held from May 16 to 19 in Dubai, with the participation of 62 countries, including Morocco.
This show brings together face-to-face since Sunday, 1300 exhibitors working in the fields of travel and tourism.
According to the organizers, this is the most important tourism and travel event to be organized face-to-face since the outbreak of the coronavirus. Its objective is to promote and develop “travel technology” and to share ideas on the most recent techniques and orientations that will make the post-covid period.
Morocco is not at this meeting anyway. He was represented by the CEO of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), Adel El Fakir, accompanied by a delegation of Moroccan operators (hoteliers and travel agents).
A virtual edition of the Arabian Travel Market will be held after this edition, from May 24 to 26. According to the organizers, it will be an opportunity to discuss several issues related to future strategies in the tourism sector, to the vision of hoteliers for after Covid-19.
This virtual edition will also provide the opportunity to strengthen networking between stakeholders in the travel industry in the region, focusing on the opportunities of emerging tourism and the challenges of the pandemic and its direct impact on the industry of tourism.
Note that the Arabian travel market represents 220 billion dirhams in transactions.
