Morocco received, on Saturday, May 15, 2021, 650000 additional doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Enough to boost the coronavirus vaccination campaign.
Royal Air Maroc (RAM) Dreamliners landed on Saturday May 15 at 11 p.m. at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. The two devices had departed for Sweden where they loaded and transported an additional 650000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. After landing, this batch of vaccine was transported by SNTL refrigerated trucks to the services of the Autonomous Refrigeration Authority of Casablanca (RAFC).
With this new delivery, Morocco will correct the slowdown in its vaccination campaign against the coronavirus. As of May 15, 6171437 people have received the first dose. There are 4500638 people who were injected with the two doses. The vaccination campaign now takes into account people aged between 45 and 50 years old.
