Morocco rejects normalizing ties with Israel

Morocco does not intend to normalize its relations with Israel. On Sunday, the head of government, Saad-Eddine El Othmani rejected any normalization of relations with Tel Aviv. “We refuse any normalization with the Zionist entity because it encourages it to go further in violating the rights of the Palestinian people,” El Othmani told his party, the PJD.

The statements come before the visit to the region by Jared Kushner, senior adviser and son-in-law of President Donald Trump, and after the United Arab Emirates and Israel reached an agreement to normalize relations.
