Morocco-Saudi ties in ‘silent crisis’

Morocco and Saudi Arabia were suggested to be experiencing tensions in their relations, since Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman did not include Morocco in his trip.

Experts stressed that excluding Morocco from the Saudi crown prince tour is an indication for a crisis between the two countries.

Moroccan researcher in international relations, Salman Bonaman stated: “relations between Morocco and Saudi Arabia are going through a silent crisis”.

Bonaman also argued while speaking to Anadolu Agency that “Rabat has chosen a middle way that does not pursue escalation or boycott”.
