Morocco/Spain: 277 migrants rescued in sea

Moroccan and Spanish maritime rescue rescued 277 sub-Saharan migrants, including a deceased woman, in the Alboran Sea off the coast of Morocco on Tuesday night.

According to the Spanish rescue services, 220 migrants aboard three boats were saved on the Spanish side.

Moroccan services, for their part, recovered 57 migrants. Since January, 11,000 migrants have arrived in Spain by sea and 203 have died, according to the data of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) of July 10.
