Morocco is the safest country to travel in Africa during this time of health crisis, according to a study by Manuel Aguilar, a biomedical engineer at the University of Malaga in Spain.
Morocco leads the safest destinations in Africa, due to the rapid development of the nation’s Covid-19 vaccination campaign in the kingdom. According to data from the study carried out by Manuel Aguilar, a biomedical engineer and former researcher at RWTH University in Aachen, Germany, 15 out of 100 Moroccans have already received at least one dose of the anti-Covid vaccine, and the authorities have shown remarkable proactivity in the response to the pandemic.
In the world rankings, Morocco occupies fifth place, after Israel, China, Australia and New Zealand. It is followed by Egypt, Bhutan, Algeria, Nicaragua and Rwanda. Four criteria were selected for the study, namely: vaccination against Covid-19, the number of confirmed cases, population density and compliance with international health protocol. The data was obtained from reports from the University of Oxford and the World Health Organization (WHO).
