Marrakech hosted the opening rounds of the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO 2019 last weekend. Here are some of the key figures of the WTCR AFRIQUIA Race of Morocco.

7: Seven FIA World Champions featured on # WTCR2019SUPERGRID

14: The 26 pilots in action were of 14 different nationalities

6: Tiago Monteiro scored his full-time return in competition with a sixth-place finish in Race 1, and proved to have lost nothing of his stroke by placing fourth in the shootout for the DHL Pole Position

3: Néstor Girolami and Mikel Azcona were the best beginners in WTCR/OSCARO, finishing third in Races 1 and 3 respectively

5: Pilots from five builders got on the podiums in Marrakech

0.638s: Esteban Guerrieri won on the smallest of the gaps in Morocco, beating Thed Björk by 0.638s at the finish of Race 1

86.880: Local hero Mehdi Bennani clinched the TAG Heuer Best Lap Trophy with a time of 1m26.880s in Race 3

120: The WTCR/OSCARO Drivers Trophy exhibited on the grid before Race 1 is 120 centimeters tall
