Morocco will acquire 24 Apache combat helicopters

Morocco has “requested the acquisition of 24 Apache attack helicopters for $ 1.5 billion,” announces an official US portal, in its update of Morocco. According to unofficial sources, the contract could be signed in October or November.

The acquisition of the Apache AH64 helicopters will reinforce the Abrams tanks that will operate under cover of the artillery on the one hand and these helicopters of combat on the other hand.

The portal that publishes the information is the official export.gov portal, which aims to help US companies export.

The portal also cites a “marked interest” from Morocco for the acquisition of Patriot air defense systems as well as G550 reconnaissance aircraft.

If the last two facts are confirmed, Morocco will secure its skies with a long-range air defense system that has proven itself in several theaters of operations.
