Nasser Bourita received the new Ambassador of France to Morocco

Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation received Tuesday, September 10, Hélène Le Gal, new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France.

Hélène Le Gal presented her with the figurative copies of her credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France.

Hélène Le Gal, former French ambassador to Israel, is officially in Morocco to oversee the French embassy in Rabat. She is the first woman to hold this position in Morocco.

She replaces Jean-François Girault, who was ambassador from 2015 to 2019. Jean-François Girault becomes diplomatic advisor to the Macron government.
