Nasser Zefzafi was transferred to hospital on Saturday after an injury to one hand following an attempt to “stir up trouble” at Ain Sebaa Prison 1, says the Prison Service. The leader of Hirak, imprisoned in the context of the events of Al Hoceima, tried “to sow disorder and anarchy by behaviors contrary to the law”, indicates the penitentiary establishment, specifying these incidents occurred after the inmate sought care because of pain that he felt on one of his feet.
“When the nurse was about to provide this care, the inmate threw away the treatment equipment and voluntarily injured himself by striking his hand at the end of an office, demanding the presence of the director and the doctor and alleging that the care he received was insufficient,” says the Prison Administration.
According to prison officials, several detainees at the Al Hoceima events refused to return to their cells after the incidents. The situation was finally mastered. However, the prison administration says it will take disciplinary action against the detainees concerned.
