Nearly 3.5 million people vaccinated against Coronavirus in Morocco

The number of people who have been vaccinated to date (dose 1) has recovered to 3435997, of which 162000 have received the second dose of the vaccine, the ministry said in its daily bulletin on the situation of the Covid-19.

The new toll of new infections brings the total number of infections since the first case reported last March to 483654, while the number of people recovered has risen to 469046, a cure rate of 97%.

The total number of deaths rose to 8623, with 8 new cases recorded in 24 hours, for a case fatality rate of 1.8%.

The cases of death were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (02), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (01), Oriental (03), Marrakech-Safi (01) and Béni Mellal-Khénifra (01).

New cases of infection have been identified in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (99), Oriental (38), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (28), Marrakech-Safi (23), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (19), Souss-Massa (14), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (07), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (06), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (04), Darâa-Tafilalet (03) and Fès-Meknès (03).

The number of active cases stands at 5985, while the severe or critical cases number 429, of which 28 are under intubation.
