New agreement adopted with majorities in the European Parliament

The European Parliament adopted, on Wednesday 16 January 2019 in plenary session in Strasbourg by a very large majority, the agricultural agreement between Morocco and the European Union (EU).

The agreement, adopted at 444 votes in favor, is a new step in relations between Morocco and the EU. He intervenes in the wake of recent positive developments that have seen both parties strengthen the legal certainty of their trade agreements and consolidate their multifaceted strategic partnership.

This agreement aims to extend trade preferences to agricultural and fishery products from the southern provinces of the Kingdom, it is recalled.
