Oceans: Morocco signs the Brussels Declaration

Morocco signed Tuesday the Brussels Declaration on the fight against climate change and the preservation of the oceans.

This text, signed by several ministers of Environment and Sustainable Development, aims to encourage countries to take initiatives and actions to preserve and protect oceans from environmental damage. It calls on the signatory countries to incorporate actions and measures aimed at the preservation of the oceans into their National Determined Contributions (NDCs).

The signing of this document took place on the sidelines of the 1st High Level Conference on Climate Change and Oceans Preservation, with the participation of Nezha El Ouafa, Secretary of State for Sustainable Development.
