The OCP Foundation and its Spanish counterpart “Mujeres por Africa” are working together to improve the living conditions of women in Africa. They have signed agreements to implement several integrated agricultural development projects aimed at reducing inequalities and supporting the empowerment of African women. Thus, they will launch a new project for the improvement of agricultural research in Senegal by training Senegalese researchers and specialists in sustainable agriculture at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Benguerir (UM6P).
Entitled FUERTES, (Women United Together for Research, Technology, Environment and Science) this project will notably strengthen the technical and scientific capacities of beneficiaries to consolidate their leadership and build a strategic network of researchers in the agricultural field in Africa. Training will be provided at UM6P. Note that the UM6P will also establish links with the University of Sine Saloum El Hadj Ibrahima Niass (USSEIN) of Senegal.
