Sources from the Moroccan consulate in Paris revealed that two Moroccan immigrants were among the victims of the big explosion, caused by a gas leak, which destroyed the basement of a building in the “business district” in central Paris.
According to sources, the Moroccans were lightly injured and were taken to the Salpetriere hospital.
The Moroccan consul in the French capital of Paris, Mustapha El Bouazzaoui, went to the hospital to closely follow the victims, identify their identities, and search if there were other victims of the Kingdom.
French police announced that at least 20 people were seriously injured in a large explosion, probably caused by gas leakage, and then revealed the presence of two people killed by the incident, the civil protection.
A police source said the blast destroyed a bakery on the “Trevis Street” in Gran Boulevard. Witnesses said the force of the blast destroyed nearby shop fronts and shook buildings hundreds of meters away.
