Peugeot to increase production in Morocco

The doubling of the production capacity of the Kenitra plant will be effective from September, the PSA group said.

The site will be able to manufacture up to 200,000 vehicles in the Middle East / Africa region from September 2020. The PSA group is resisting and adapting to the global health crisis.

The regional market decline of 26.4% had no negative impact on the manufacturer’s sales. The group’s overall sales have increased compared to those of 2019. As for the regional market share, it increased by 46%.

The strong increases in the PSA group’s market share across the region are as follows: Turkey (+5.4), Egypt (+3.9) and Morocco (+0.8).
