PGA Tour Champions soon in Morocco

A first for Morocco and Africa. The PGA Tour Champions and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association (ATH) concluded, on Tuesday, September 17th, a five-year partnership to bring the men’s professional golf circuit organized by the PGA Tour in Morocco.

The competition will be held at the Samanah Golf Club in Marrakech from January 27 to February 1, 2020. It will pit 66 players who will compete for a prize pool of $ 2 million. Chaired by Prince Moulay Rachid, ATH organizes several international events, including the Hassan II European Tour Trophy and the Lalla Meryem Cup of the European Women’s Tour.

The Morocco Champions will be the second tournament of the 2020 PGA Tour Champions season. This will be the first race of the PGA Tour stroke play format to be played on the African continent.
