In order to accelerate the energy transition, Morocco signed an agreement which will allow it to produce green hydrogen. In the implementation of this agreement, the Kingdom will benefit from the support of Germany.
The agreement will benefit several sectors such as transportation, industry and mining, according to Aziz Rabbah, the Minister of Energy, Mines and the Environment. Other advantages, this agreement will reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Morocco, create new jobs, and preserve the environment.
In addition, Morocco will benefit from support from Germany in improving the framework conditions for the production and use of green hydrogen.
The agreement also stipulates the establishment of the structures necessary to achieve this ambition and the provision of advanced scientific research and innovations in the sector, through a project called Power-to-X.
