Huawei reacted to Reuters report on Facebook’s pre-installation suspension on the brand’s smartphones. In a note released on Sunday, the group claims that Facebook is a third-party application and “can be installed and used without problems on Huawei devices.”
Yet last Friday, Facebook suspended the provision of technologies allowing Huawei to pre-install the applications (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger).
Current owners of Huawei smartphones with these applications will still be able to continue to use and update them. The suspension concerns new smartphones that are not yet in the shops.
