Proma Group inaugurates a second factory in Morocco. Located in Kenitra, this site required an investment of MAD 320 million. The Proma factory, which specializes in the design and manufacture of sub-assemblies and metal components for the automotive industry, was set up in 6 months, a “record in Morocco”, said the Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and the Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy. The group also plans to invest as much in its future projects in Morocco, added Elalamy. The new site will provide PSA and Renault.
It will cover a total area of approximately 28,000 m². A first phase (19,000 m²) has been completed, while extension work on 8,900 m² will start at the end of 2020 to respond to the increase in production of the group in the Kingdom. The site will create 121 jobs and is expected to generate an annual turnover of MAD 250 million for export.
A new plant could also be set up with a “new record of 5 months,” said Elalamy.
