PSA continues to deploy its complete ecosystem in Morocco

The PSA Group continues to deploy its complete ecosystem in Morocco in accordance with its commitments. The Group announced in September 2018 its decision to double the capacity of the Kenitra plant to 200,000 units by mid-2020, 3 years ahead of its initial commitment.

Confident in the competitiveness of the Kingdom, the PSA Group is committed to making Morocco a sourcing base for its international industrial system, by purchasing 1 billion euros in automotive components in 2022.

The PSA Group started production of the new Peugeot 208 in September 2019 with a record local integration rate of more than 60% with an ambition to reach 80% in the long term.

The PSA Group has assembled engines in series at its Kenitra plant in Morocco since the end of 2018 in accordance with its commitments, with an installed production capacity of 100,000 engines/year in a first phase.

Finally, the PSA Group is committed in its agreement with the Kingdom to generate more than 1,500 jobs in research and development, objective exceeded by the year 2018. These teams will eventually be able to develop a complete vehicle.
