RAM: Economic layoffs begin

RAM pilots, captains and cabin crew began receiving their dismissal letters for economic reasons on the evening of August 25. The opinions were transmitted through the firm appointed by the company, Bassamat & Laraqui.

The layoffs, authorized on August 18 by the governor of the district prefecture of Hay Hassani, to which RAM, Khadija Benchouikh, reports, will take effect from August 31. The company has not communicated the final authorized workforce. However, in its “alert letter” of August 17 to the governor, the Moroccan Airline Pilots Association (AMPL) speaks of a total of 140 employees.
