Ready-to-wear: The British Next arrives in Morocco

Owned by British businessman Simon Wolfson, the ready-to-wear empire Next has just set up a supply subsidiary in Casablanca, Next Europe & North Africa.

Simon Wolfson, life member of the British House of Lords since 2010, heads for Morocco.

Following the creation of the new Casablanca subsidiary, the Moroccan suppliers of the Next city store chain (mainly Somitex and Texticob) now represent only a tiny part of its purchases, which come mainly from the countries of the Southeast Asia, but also China, reports Maghreb Confidential in its latest electronic delivery.

The arrival of Brexit risks reshuffling the cards, prompting the United Kingdom to duplicate all the free trade agreements it enjoys today as a member of the European Union.

Some agreements are likely to be concluded more quickly than others. A fact that Lord Wolfson of Aspley Guise cannot ignore, since he was one of the main British business leaders to campaign for Brexit!
