Despite a significant drop of −82%, the Renault Group achieved a market share of 55.5% in Morocco between March and May 2020. These are the monthly statistics of the French car manufacturer in this particular context of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Group and its two brands were able to resist on the market with a decrease in sales of −76%. But the restart of the factories of “Somaca” and Tangier, allowed the brand “Dacia” to achieve 38.8% of market share, by delivering part of the order portfolio including taxis.
At this stage, the Group has already delivered 15,643 new vehicles, an accumulation of 43.3% for the year. The “Dacia” brand leads the way with a current share of 38.8%, or 11,016 cumulative deliveries and 30.5% of combined market share.
For this month of May, “Renault” reached 383 units delivered and a market share of 16.7%, achieving cumulative, 4,627 deliveries and a market share of 12.8%. It thus retains the leadership in utility vehicles and converted utility vehicles with 36.7% market share for the month of May, accumulating 1,222 units delivered, with 26.8% segment share.
This performance is the result of committed work by the group, and the fruit of continuity of service and after-sales throughout the Kingdom.
