Royal condolences to the Iraqi president

King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolence and compassion to the Iraqi President, Barham Saleh, following the sinking of a tourist ferry on the Tigre River in Mosul, causing several casualties.

In this message, the Sovereign indicates to have learned with great affliction the sad news of the sinking of a tourist ferry on the Tigre River in Mosul, having caused several casualties.

In this painful circumstance, the Sovereign expresses to President Saleh and, through him, to the bereaved families and the brotherly Iraqi people, his deep condolences and sincere feelings of compassion, imploring the Most High to welcome the victims in His holy mercy, and to give patience and consolation to the Iraqi president and the relatives of the victims.
