SDX Energy optimistic for its drilling

SDX Energy said on Wednesday January 22 that 7 wells have been drilled to date as part of the 12-well drilling campaign launched in 2019. The British company reports that 5 of the 7 wells tested have produced gas that could be marketed. This adds additional capacity “from 2 to 2.5 billion cubic feet of commercial gas”.

“Given the low connection costs and assuming the wells remain productive, the company estimates that these reserves will be sufficient to honor contracts from existing customers over the next 30 to 36 months,” they said. In total, British investment spending in Morocco and Egypt reached around $ 40.7 million, $ 4.5 million more than forecast for 2019, “mainly due to the drilling of two additional wells in Morocco”.
