S&P raises the prospect of Morocco’s rating

The rating agency has just confirmed Morocco’s rating at BBB-/A-3. The outlook has been raised from negative to stable, particularly as a result of fiscal consolidation efforts. The government hopes to reduce the deficit to 3% of GDP by 2022.

S&P analysts expect growth of 2.8% in 2019 before accelerating to 3.7% in 2020 and 4% in 2021.
